Hello, and welcome to my tumblr :))
My name starts with an A and I'm currently 24.
Here, you'll find both depressive and cheerful stuff, both adorable and alluring ones, and seldom shocking. But mostly visually appealing or witty (if neither or those, then very dear to me personally) .
The first thing Snape asks Harry is “Potter! What would I get if I added powdered root of asphodel to an infusion of wormwood?” According to Victorian Flower Language, asphodel is a type of lily meaning ‘My regrets follow you to the grave’ and wormwood means ‘absence’ and also typically symbolized bitter sorrow. If you combined that, it meant ‘I bitterly regret Lily’s death’.
I bitterly regret Lily’s death.
The deeper meaning of words. Sometimes I’m amazed at all the stuff writers put in their books which have deeper meanings.
If it was a real full-sized Hogwarts, I would agree. But let me tell you this - NHM has the most beautiful architecture of any building I’ve seen in London or anywhere else. Angkor Wat temples are probably the only thing comparably impressive (and I haven’t seen those live).
I thought Hank was comparing NHM with Warner Brothers Harry Potter experience tour. I have seen both and the architecture of the building HP tour is in is just really plain. The Hogwarts model is impressive, but hardly anything could live inside it…possibly some mice, but that’s it.
